Recently, we have had a change in policy. We no longer accept previously published work, but there are many other magazines who do. The work that is submitted to us must be unpublished (excluding publishing on your own website, blog or social media.)

Unfortunately, we are unable to pay for published pieces at the moment. We are a non-profit independent magazine created by two girls with passion and love for the arts. This is all volunteer work, and whatever money we get from selling creative bundles and digital and print copies goes directly into the magazine and making it better. Paying for work is something we are eager to do, so once it is available to do so, we will make it known.

We go through many many submissions to get to the final accepted pieces. We want to make sure there is a fair amount of each division, so we must take our favourites and rinse them down. Sometimes rejections are based on whether we think your work aligns with our vibe, or sometimes the work hasn’t been submitted properly (wrong format, limit of pieces exceeded) to which we send an email to try again. We love a piece that wows us, something our eyes keep flickering back to. If your piece is rejected, don’t take that as a no forever. We encourage you to submit to the next issue, and continue to send your piece to other magazines. There is a place for your work, guaranteed.

We have recently started sending emails of acknowledgement when your submission has been sent in. This is just an email to reassure you that we have seen it come into our inbox, and is under review. Your next email from then, will be a rejection or acceptance email. If you have any questions or concerns with this, get in contact with us.

You have complete rights over your work. It is YOUR work, you can do what you like with it. All we ask is for rights regarding first digital publishing, social media posting and print publishing. If you’d ever like to revoke your piece from our digital magazine / social media pages, please email us. Unfortunately, if your work has been printed, we are unable to remove it from physical copies.
